NC Bike Ed is devoted to spreading information about best bicycling practices, including bicyclist rights, bicyclist responsibilities, and advocacy for cyclists. It will also feature stories about fun and useful cycling – everything from group rides and family cycling to commuting.

Steven Goodridge has been a bike commuter and road cyclist in North Carolina since 1991 and is a League Certified Instructor (LCI #1690) through the League of American Bicyclists. Steve earned his Ph.D in electrical engineering at NC State University in 1997 and has participated in many organizations to promote the interests of cyclists, including the North Carolina Active Transportation Alliance, the North Carolina Bicycle Club, the Peloton Project, the CAMPO Bicycle and Pedestrian Stakeholders Group, and the Cary Planning and Zoning Board. Steve has developed and delivered training programs on bicyclist safety and law enforcement for police departments including Raleigh PD and Cary PD. Steve enjoys long group rides as well as cycling with his family around Cary and Raleigh on both streets and greenways.Tweet
